The Mixed-refrigerant Joule-Thomson (MRJT) refrigerator at low temperature ranges driven by a single compressor with precooling is applied to liquefy nitrogen (-180ºC). MRJT is based on a Joule-Thomson cycle using multi-component mixed-refrigerants. This optimized approach matches different boiling points with efficient refrigeration temperature ranges, making it highly efficient for temperatures from -40 to -196ºC.
